“Closer,” the decaying house whispered with its rotting grin. I paused in my tracks, glancing back wondering if it was only the wind in the trees. The eyes in the window, that looked vaguely cheery and almost inviting, held a sense of malevolence upon closer examination.
“Come closer.” The words were drawing my hesitant steps toward the decaying structure with an unseen hand.
An icy sweat tickled down my spine causing a shiver of hesitation to halt my steps. Peeking inside, standing at the threshold, I waited; listening for conformation that I wasn’t losing my mind.
“Come inside, I have something to show you.”
